Battery, fluids, brakes #

Cold cuts starting capacity; viscous oil demands more current. Battery > 4 years: test before departure. Coolant dosed for severe cold; antifreeze screenwash (salt, spray). Brakes: long descents towards Sallanches, Cluses or the Chablais — pads at the end of their life = discs and a flatbed.

If you break down on the way up or in resort #

Safety first (high-vis vest, off the line of traffic). Off the motorway: 06 82 96 40 84, photos of the gradient and access. On the A40: SOS / 112 then repatriation. Slot according to weather and the seasonal queue — no unrealistic promises.
